Have a Heart Have a Heart’s (previously Martin & Su’s Essex kids) vision is to enhance the lives of people living in our communities. For the first year, the charity will focus on building a better future for the children living in our communities, those who are vulnerable, face adversity, are living with an illness or are deprived of the childhood that every young person deserves. Have a Heart will specialise in funding local grass roots projects, raising funds in the Essex community, through the Heart Essex station – making a difference together to make a better life for our children. St Luke's Hospice St. Luke’s provides specialist care for people who have an advanced disease, as well as those who love and care for them, in a warm caring and friendly environment. The Hospice is a registered charity serving Basildon and Thurrock local Authority districts. We make no charge to patients or their families for any of the services provided. We commenced as a community project and are still sustained today by the
community we serve. Without the generosity of businesses, clubs,
organisations and individuals we could not continue to provide a quality and
much–needed care service.
